In the 23rd century… During Starship Andromeda’s maiden voyage its Einstein-Rosen (ER) drive is successfully tested. A vessel equipped with an ER drive is capable of crossing vast distances by travelling through self-generated wormholes. The ER drive was designed by child genius N'tron Zepethar. Fifteen years earlier starship Leviathan (with Zepethar aboard and propelled by his first version of an ER drive), disappeared on its maiden voyage. Now as the only other vessel equipped with an operational ER drive, the Andromeda is reassigned to the Leviathan's rescue mission. The Andromeda’s crew locates the crashed Leviathan on Theta-25L, a desolate planet 50 million light years from Earth. Whilst attempting to contact the Leviathan, tragedy befalls the Andromeda's crew. After fifteen years on Theta-25L, Zepethar is the sole survivor of from the Leviathan. When the Andromeda’s crew begin searching for answers to the Leviathan’s demise it soon becomes apparent that Zepethar and Theta-25L both harbour terrifying secrets…

Shumate, this film pays homage to the not so well known 327th division of the 101st Airborne while also crafting a very surreal story of an American Soldier, Thomas McCaffee, who, upon some untimely news, requests a transfer from the 82nd Airborne to the 101st Airborne where he then joins up with the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. This, in turn, lands him in a tight spot behind enemy lines in Normandy, France 1944 the night before D-Day. Evading German detection, he digs himself a foxhole, and tries to keep a level head under the pressure of endless gunfire that seems to ring out from every direction. In the light of D-Day, Thomas finds that the war has crept up on him and he is forced to deal with the situation at hand. But the situation will far surpass his understanding.
