focuses around two childhood friends, Cody and Tom who've both recently moved out on their own. Tom, an affluent, confident mentor to Cody, feels the need to always be helping Cody, with his social life, work, and figuring out living situations, he almost acts as a guide.
Instead of accepting or denying help, also fueled by the recent absence of his girlfriend, Cody starts to move into his own manufactured world, where he starts to visualize himself committing suicide in different ways. Tom and Cody, along with a number of other friends plan a trip to Tom's cabin, outside of the city to kick off break.
As the trip slowly nears, the small gap between reality and the world Cody immerses himself in starts to break.

Burke (Jessejames Locorriere) is a self-loathing English teacher and failed writer, rocketing towards forty with no good years ahead that he can see. Never one to miss a bad decision, he reboots his sorry life with powerful doses of crystal meth stolen from a student (Veronica Longo). In doing so he crosses up a hook-handed drug dealer named Avery (John Ferguson), and falls for a mysterious woman in a dark wig, Serafina (Sarah-Jane Hill), who shares in Burke's insatiable addictions. Wanting to take Serafina and all the cash and drugs he can carry on his way out of town, Burke sneaks into the deep woods with a half-assed plan to rob Avery's meth lab. What happens there instead shocks Burke, Avery, and Serafina into realizing that nobody's life is a solo act.
Unlike most horror movies, Jeff Scott Taylor's arthouse zombie flick "1158" combines references to 1940's film noir with experimental animation techniques, live footage, and with a mere sprinkling of gore. Rather than focusing on tits and carnage, his non-linear story follows 2 lovers fleeing disaster as they first lose their carefully constructed modern identities, and secondly, their humanity.
A high school English teacher turned meth head, a mysterious wig-wearing woman, and a trio of drug-dealing, redneck brothers, get their sex, drugs, and violence all mixed up with one another.
